Greg joined Media People in 1995 and was named President in 2004. He has managed and sold direct response and general advertising for a variety of publishing clients such as Time Inc., Reader’s Digest, Weight Watchers and the New York Daily News. Greg has overseen successful launches of direct response categories such as This Old House, Every Day with Rachael Ray and ESPN. He is thrilled to have joined forces with Media Horizons in 2013, which provides a wealth of new opportunities for his publishing clients and their advertising partners.
Nancy joined Media People in 1985 as Account Manager and became Vice President/General Manager in 2005. She has worked on over 35 publications in the teen, 50+, shelter/home, women’s service, travel, men’s, health/fitness, sports and travel categories selling direct response and general advertising. She worked on the startups of Organic Style, Women’s Health, Cottage Living and started the direct response category in Golf Illustrated and ESPN.
Warren joined Media People in 1981 and assumed increased responsibility over the years; eventually promoted to VP/Account Manager in 2005. A highly organized executive and creative problem solver, Warren has extensive experience in Direct Response. He continues to build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with valued clients, senior level management and publishers with keen awareness of advertising needs. Warren’s ‘people personality’ is ever present and well balanced with professionalism and humor. His portfolio of magazines and expertise is diverse and encompasses titles that reach a wide array of demographics across the board. He currently oversees Reader¹s Digest, Reminisce Magazine, Weight Watchers Magazine, National Association of Current and Retired Federal Employees and Maxim. Warren’s outside interests include a passion for theater; he frequently performs in plays, stage productions and choirs in New York City.
Jennifer Izzo joined Media People in 1999. Previously, she worked at Good Housekeeping and Smithsonian Magazine, handling their Direct Response territory. Jennifer has successfully managed This Old House and Men’s Health for the past 17 years at Media People. She enjoys sharing ideas with the Media Horizons’ team and the ability to offer more opportunities to her clients.
Helen joined Media People in 1990, as an administrative assistant and through hard work was promoted to Production Director. In 2001, she showed interest in finance and acquired the financial responsibilities. She works as a liaison between the magazines and the direct response advertisers. She assists the President, Vice Presidents & Account Managers with day-to-day reports as well as traffics contract orders and materials. She creates the invoices for over 23 publications from various publishing clients that are generated by over 125 different advertisers each month. She also prepares monthly financial reports for the accountant and the VP of Finance & Operations.
Melissa joined Media Horizons in 2006 as the receptionist and moved on to the accounting team as a Billing Coordinator. Melissa handles invoicing, all A/P & A/R and enjoys every minute of it.
Jim has been a part of Media Horizons for over 25 years after starting his career in the financial industry. He served in account management roles for 15 years, working with clients such as Nestle, BMG, Citi and The Wall Street Journal to develop and execute profitable marketing strategies. He later was named President and oversaw internal operations and creative, until becoming CEO in 2007. Jim has been integrally involved in the company’s growth with deep expertise in media, creative and analytics across digital and offline channels. Jim holds an economics degree from Tufts University and has taught Direct Marketing at WCSU. He serves on the Boards of Directors of Smart Kids with Learning Disabilities and Westport Little League, and lives in Westport, CT with his wife and two sons.
Alan founded Media Horizons in 1988 with the express goal of building an agency whose core values are steeped in serving its clients’ needs and in nurturing its staff’s professional development. Over the years, he has led the company’s strategic expansion from its beginnings as an insert media company to its current state of being a full-service digital and offline response-marketing agency. Alan has spoken at numerous industry events throughout his career and was named Insert Media Executive of the Year in 2009. He currently directs the company’s new business efforts, oversees thought leadership positioning and content development, and partners with the broader senior management team on the company’s ongoing innovation initiatives.
